These words are taken from the article on Singapore Zoo's new safety measure

1) Mauling
- wounded by tearing and scratching (usually by an animal)

~The children were mauled by the hungry tigers.

~”I’ll maul you if you don’t complete your homework on time!” the fierce teacher screamed at the children. (wahahaha)

2) Pavilion
- a building used for a specific purpose

~ The boys were reprimanded by the police as it is against the law to play soccer at the pavilion. They subsequently left to continue playing at the field.

3) Initially
- at first

~ The children initially thought that David was a skillful badminton player. After the first set, he turned out to be an average player.

4) Prominent
- important or famous

~ Mr Lee is a prominent figure in the Cancer Society. Everyone respects and listens to him.

- noticeable, situated at a place that everyone is able to see

~ The signs were hung in a prominent place. Everyone should be able to see it.

5) Signage
- a collection of signs

~ Dorothy has a unique hobby. She has hundreds of signage at home.
