Who Is This Stranger?
Kiddos, these are the answers for Worksheet 1.
Hope you have listened intently in class. And I hope I have explained to you clearly too! If I hadn't, please tell me ok? Just don't throw an eraser at me. :P

1) It tells us that the house was in a bad condition.

2) He was surprised that Harvey Angell was the new lodger and not a plumber.

3) He did not understand why there were no connections in a house without children.

4) They rattled because Harvey Angell laughed and they were hanging in rotting frames.

5) ‘He’ refers to Harvey Angell. Henry wished he would not laugh.

6) Aunt Agatha had decided to rent the room to Harvey Angell.

7) It had never occurred to Henry that Aunt Agatha had a grandmother or mother.

8) Harvey Angell had offered to pay her some rent in advance

9) Aunt Agatha had rented the attic to Harvey Angell.

10) Henry wanted to find out if the dresser was really warm, as Harvey Angell had said.
